Mind if I ask how you finished the rings? 8D I tried for five or six hours to put some together, all different methods, but nothing held together and they broke by the time I hit the convention. o-o (I noticed you chose red for the (uh, pearls?); that was something that mildly amused me in the comics, they seemed to switch between red and gold...~ )
...teh-heh, Marv approved my Raven costume, too, so I know exactly how ecstatic that can be. /^w^';
The rings are made with a elastic fabric like that
and I sew on the red pearls ([link])
The pearl have two little little super little perforation, so you can sew up it in the fabric n_n
